Why is the GlöUup razor better for my skin?
Shaving with the GlöUup razor reduces skin irritation, rashes, shave bumps, and ingrown hairs that are very common with disposable razors. The main reason for this is because with a good quality safety razor, you only have one blade against your skin at any time.
If you use a 3-blade cartridge razor and go over an area 3 times, you have now exposed one area of the skin to 15 passes of a blade. In comparison, if you are using a safety razor, you are only exposing the skin to one blade at a pass. The fewer times that you rake your skin with a blade, the happier it is going to be.
That being said, as mentioned before, NOT ALL SINGLE BLADE RAZORS ARE CREATED EQUAL! 😄
Where can I restock on blades?
Although you can use most double edge blades on the market, we know from experience that the majority are lacking in quality, so we definitely recommend purchasing our premium platinum blades from our website! Quality MATTERS!
Can it rust?
Our razor is made of brass which is a fantastic high-quality material as it does not rust. However, as with any metal, it can be susceptible to corrosion when not cared for properly.
Can I cut myself with this razor?
You can cut yourself with any razor when not used correctly!
Make sure you apply our Shaving Fat (or your favourite shaving cream/gel) to your skin and use warm water if needed while shaving! Ideally exfoliate too just before shaving! Don’t apply too much pressure, just let the weight of the razor glide over your skin. Go WITH the grain first before going against it.
Shave in short strokes (a few inches at a time), rinsing your razor in between.
Make sure you maintain a 30° angle at all times. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Take it slowly while getting used to this new way of shaving. Trust us, it's WORTH IT!
